Scope and Contents

This volume contains minutes from meetings of Trustees between 23 June 1909 and 24 February 1954. Recorded details include, youth training course being run with the help of London School of Economics and other bodies (p. 289); a proposal to convert two classrooms into a library (p. 246); admittance of a German refugee student (p. 247); a meeting of the library committee (p. 249); the gift of £100 in memory of Miss Mary Louise Macaulay of Belfast, a student from 1909 to 1911, along with "a recommendation that it should be for the benefit of the students" (p. 250); a tender for the erection of a nursery school (p. 273); the purchase of the dining table for Mary Allan (p. 382); the proposal of a new building at the cost of £26,500 (p. 391); a discussion regarding the commission of a portrait of the principal (Alice Skillicorn) by Henry Lamb (p. 408); the gift to the college of armour plate doors "to be contained in the new building" from Dr. and Mrs. Pilkington (p. 410).
