Scope and Contents

From the File:

This file features the pottery and small finds excavated by A.J.B. Wace and his team during the summer of 1955 at Mycenae. During this season, key objectives included the continuation of excavation of the Prehistoric cemetery and of the House of Shields and House of Sphinxes. Also, an investigation of the ridge above the Treasury of Atreus uncovered the ‘House of Lead’, a complex of buildings that mixed domestic and workshop activity.
