Scope and Contents
On v., in typescript, 'MYCENAE. Acropolis summit, from the N.W. The Palace, over which the Temple was built, stood above the Terrace wall visible on the left at the top. The Middle Bronze Age Wall and the rooms where the ivory group was found are on the rocky ledge at the foot of the Terrace wall. The steep rock below this shows the natural strength of this, the inner and earlier, citadel'.
