Genii: north dromos wall, 1955
Scope and Contents
The Genii or Perfect tomb belongs to the third group of tholoi at Mycenae, as categorised by A. J. B. Wace, dating to ca. 1400-1300 BC. A. J. B. Wace and his team in 1921 probed for pottery under the tholos and dromos walls, in hope of establishing a chronology for their construction. The following year, they investigated the chamber itself and cleared the outer face of the wall that closes the dromos.
