Reference Code: GBR/3437/MCNE/3/1/2
Scope and Contents
The Cyclopean tomb is one of the three earliest tholoi known at Mycenae, dating to 1600-1500 BC. A. J. B. Wace and his team investigated it in 1922. The tomb takes its name from the ‘Cyclopean’ masonry that formed the walls of the chamber: undressed pieces of limestone and conglomerate packed together.
