Drawings of pottery from pre 1920 Mycenae excavations and comparanda from other Greek Bronze Age sites
Scope and Contents
This eclectic small group of drawings illustrate either artefacts excavated at Mycenae and Tiryns during Schliemann’s excavations in the 19th century or Mycenaean objects excavated by archaeologists at Korakou in the Peloponnese and Phylakopi on the Cycladic island of Melos. A. J. B. Wace used these pictorial studies to inform his research, as comparanda for objects he himself was excavating at Mycenae.
