Lion Gate, 1920-1923
Scope and Contents
1920-923 pottery notebook compiled in ink by A. J. B. Wace on finds, with their levels noted, from the Lion Gate, Granary, Ramp House, South House, Grave Circle A and tholos tombs (Kato Phournos, Genii, Lion, Epano Phournos, Cyclopean, Panagia, Aegisthus, Atreus, Clytemnestra).
Later annotations in red ink by Dr E. B. French give corresponding BSA XXV page numbers.
At the back of the notebook, turned upside down, dated 1922, Richard Wyatt Hutchinson in pencil made detailed pottery notes for Chamber Tombs 523, 522, 515 and for Cyclopean, Panagia, Kato Phournos ('Lower Oven') tholos tombs. RWH also drew copious sketches in pencil of pottery sherds to accompany his notes.
