Scope and Contents
1950 Director's Daybook volume II compiled by A. J. B. Wace. Daily summary of excavation in the Cyclopean Terrace Building, Blegen's House (House of Oil Merchant), Prehistoric Cemetery, Perseia, Tomb of Clytemnestra, Kato Phournos tomb, Rhyton well, Grave Circle A, Granary, Tsountas House, Palace pithos area, Postern Gate. Also notes of photography of small finds carried out in Nauplion Museum (f.27) and research undertaken at Athens Epigraphy Museum (f.29). At the back are lists, including tools left at Mycenae 1950 and tools for Athens.
3 inserts: 1 leaf of notes in pencil by EBW on Cyclopean Terrace Building; 1 leaf of notes in ink by AJBW (a bookmark?) with figure numbers for published seal impressions; 1 leaf on which a personal packing list is jotted in pencil by AJBW for 24th August, '1 shirt/1 pants/1 socks/2 hdkfs [handkerchiefs]'.
