Scope and Contents
1955 Director's Daybook compiled by A. J. B. Wace. Records daily summary of excavation in Lion Tomb, House of Shields, House of Sphinxes, House of Lead, Atreus Ridge and Palace on r. Arrivals and departures, small finds and sketch plans made on v. Lists (f. 1) pottery from previous years' Mycenae excavations delivered to Nauplia Museum on 10 July 1955. At the back of the notebook, lists of boxes and trays of small finds to Nauplia Museum, a list of site and small finds photographs, on the last page calculations regarding wages.

Buff and green card cover, spiral bound (Tumbler university notebook), handwritten in ink, 18.5 x 21 cm Foliated by AJBW to f. 77, ff.79 in total. Two thirds of notebook used. 1 insert, of a leaf of paper, left in place in a text paper fold between f.79 and back cover.
