Biographical / Historical
Stillwell, Agnes Ellen, née Newhall (1906-1957) graduated from Bryn Mawr College, USA, in 1927. A fellow of the American School of Classical Archaeology (ASCA) in Athens 1927-1935, she directed the excavation of the Potters' Quarter in Corinth from 1929. Married the director of the ASCA, Richard Stillwell, in 1932 and went with him to Princeton, where she published her 3-volume 'The Potters' Quarter' (Corinth, vol. 15, part 3). «
