Scope and Contents
1952 Director's Day Book compiled by A. J. B. Wace. Records arrivals and departures, interpretations of finds and daily summaries of excavations in the House of the Stirrup Jars (House of Oil Merchant), Cyclopean Terrace Building, Hellenistic Gymnasium, Prehistoric Cemetery, Tsekoura, Aegisthus tomb west side trials and Fountain House. Also includes some sketch plans and a draft of his preliminary report on the excavation ff. 74-82. At the back of the notebook there are a number of lists: expenses (1952?), 1953 expenses, photographed small finds, site and small finds photo lists, sherds to photograph in Athens and an excavation tools checklist.

Green cloth cover (Heffer's notebook), handwritten in ink and pencil, 17.5 x 19 cm. Foliated in pencil by AJBW to f. 90, ff. 124 in total. Fragile. Text block detaching from spine at front, f. 21 separated completely from binding, remains in situ.
