Scope and Contents
1951 excavation notebook for the Cyclopean Terrace Building (CTB) compiled by Sinclair Hood. Dates of individual days of excavation not noted, only the year. Levels, section drawings and sketch plans of trenches A-N, key plan on p.1. Rough sketches of pottery and papse notes pp. 54-67, also measurements.
10 inserts: 5 drawings in pencil on graph paper of Section A-B, Section C-D, Section E, Section G-H, Section East-West; 1 large plan in pencil of the CTB on tracing paper (very fragile), 1 further section drawing in pencil for A-B on tracing paper (very fragile); 1 handwritten leaf of repapse notes dated 1951; 1 leaf of a type script summary, annotated by hand in ink, of the excavations; 3 leaves of a typescript letter (very fragile) from Sinclair Hood to AJBW, dated 9th September 1951, giving a full account of the CTB excavation, including wage details, number of workmen and the excavation findings.
