Excavation Notebook for Tomb of Clytemnestra, Blegen's House (House of the Oil Merchant), Prehistoric Cemetery, compiled by Josephine Dow. Daily account of excavation progress, includes diagrams drawn in colour pencils (p. 123), rough sketch plans and section drawings. Small finds numbers annotated in red. Includes notes on pottery sorted after Dow's departure.
2 inserts: drawings made in House of Oil Merchant, 1 entitled 'Room of Bugle Cans, rough sketch before removal'; the other a section drawing. 'Bugle cans’ refer to stirrup jars, ‘Bügelkanne’ being the equivalent term in German.
