Excavation Notebook for May, June and July 1922 compiled by A. J. B. Wace, with rough notes and sketches, on the Chamber Tombs and Palace.
Records daily events, including arrivals and departures of workers. Chamber tombs mentioned include 521, 522, 516, 518, 519, 523, 524, 520, 515, 517, 514, 530, 531, 529, 532, 505, 533. Also the Tomb of Clytemnestra, Perfect Tholos, Lion Tomb, Epano Phournos Tomb, Cyclopean Tholos, Tomb of Aegisthus. Not indexed.
3 inserts: 1 letter dated 15 February 1924, and 1 envelope, from Mr Tryng Ross of Palo Alto, California, regarding Boar's Tusk helmets; 1 leaf of notes, written in pencil by AJBW, on objects from earlier excavations at Mycenae, displayed in the National Archaeological Museum of Athens.

Brown canvas cover with faded red edging, perished elastic closure band, handwritten in pencil, 12 x 19 cm 3 inserts - 2 leaves of paper, 1 envelope Foliated by AJBW, ff. 91, including end paper. Exceptionally fragile, the text block is mostly detached from the binding.
