Scope and Contents
This series consists of material relating to published and unpublished works (including lectures) by Alan Wace, including archaeological reports. The mayterial encompasses handwritten and typescript drafts and published proofs, photographs and drawings in ink and gouache used as publication illustrations, correspondence and working notes. Publications include:
Prehistoric Thessaly 1912, A Cretan Statue in the Fitzwilliam Museum 1927, The Royal Tombs at Dendra near Midea 1931, Chamber Tombs at Mycenae 1932, Helladika (unpublished), An Approach to Greek Sculpture (1935), Mycenae: An archaeological history and guide (1949), and the Homeric Companion 1962 (published posthumously).
