Letter from M. M. Vassits of Belgrade re his excavations at Vinča and connections to Thessaly, 1908-1910
Scope and Contents
Vassits informs Wace of his recent excavations at Vinča: he attempts to establish a chronology of that culture relative to Greece from the Neolithic to the first century BCE and offers conclusions about the pottery’s connection to Thessaly in Greece. He records the findings of other archaeologists that link this same culture to Crete and Bulgaria and hopes to collaborate with Wace in Macedonia.
