Scope and Contents
8 leaves of a handwritten report, authored it is presumed by Maurice Scott Thompson, on the prehistoric pottery excavated by himself and Wace (and Droop) in Thessaly, Greece, between 1908-1910.
The sub headings of the report, entitled 'Description of the Wares', are:
A Unornamented Wares / I Red and Ochre Vases, II. Imitation Urfirniss, III. Late grey ware, IV. True Urfurniss, V. Fine ochre wares, VI. Early red and polished ware, VII. Black polished ware,
B Incised Wares/ VIII. IX. X. Incised Wares,
C Painted Wares / XI. XII. XIII. XIV, XV. XVI. XVII.
The final leaf is a hand drawn table of chronological phases of settlemement entitled 'Scheme shewing the duration of the various wares'.
