Scope and Contents
Drawings and photographs used as illustrations and plates in Prehistoric Thessaly.
4 monochrome photographs of pottery sherds, 2 prints each of 2 images, with differing exposures, one print on the verso annotated in ink '4' and the other '5'.
20 monochrome photographs of excavation, small finds and landscape photographs for the publication. Each mounted on a leaf of brown cartridge paper with 4 slits to hold the print in place (ie each is an unbound photo album leaf). The mounts are numbered sequentially in ink by AJBW, from 6836 to 6840, 6842 t0 6856, 6857 is without a photograph, then 6859. The number is repeated by AJBW in pencil on the verso of each print. Nothing is written on the verso of the album leaves therefore the leaves are stored back to back in pairs within archival polyester sleeves.
