Dated 30 May 1936. Probably written in Istanbul. Stewart writes in detail of two graves excavated at Yortan. He describes one artefact as possibly imported from Vounos (Cyprus). The material remains in Balikesir and requires futher study. In other news, he has acquired some stone axes for Clarke in Cambridge.
