Sites in Rhodes and Pots
Scope and Contents
1 original Eastman Kodak photographic envelope, demonstrating that these negatives were processed in Rome, perhaps dating this group of photographs to the period when AJBW was resident at the British School at Rome (1903-1906).
5 negatives, 8 photographic postive prints that feature 7 images. Two copies of an image of a mountain in the background with landscape in the foreground, is annotated on the verso in pencil by AJBW as 'Rhodes Mt. Attavyros'. The majority of images are presumed to be of Rhodes but are devoid of any annotation to prove this.
Rhodian images feature landcape, villages, agriculture and a fine donkey herd. Two images featuring pots have the British School at Athens in the background.
