Scope and Contents
Doric capital lying on its side in a field. To the right, a walking stick jammed in the ground, perhaps to provide scale. Wace mentions this capital in Wace, A. J. B., Hasluck, F. W., & Tillyard, H. J. W. (1904). Laconia: II. Geraki. The Annual of the British School at Athens, 11, 91–123. p. 95, "a marble Doric capital which had been turned up by the plough and left on the surface, together with a squared marble block".
