Sklavo Chori, ancient Amycles, in Lakonia.A rRelief featuring an aacanthus motif is propped against a wall beneath a wooden shutter.
'SLAVOKHORI: To east of Slavokhori the fields and orange groves are full of classical, Hellenistic, and Roman pottery, for a extent of at least 2 kilometers north to south and I kilometre east to west. The site is almost certainly that of ancient Amyclae (Polybius v. 19, Paus. iii. 20. 3); cf. BSA xlv (1950 28I f.', Waterhouse, H., & Simpson, R. H. (1960). Prehistoric Laconia: Part I.
