Scope and Contents
This might be the chapel of Ayios Nikolaos, described in Waterhouse, H., & Simpson, R. H. (1960). Prehistoric Laconia: Part I. The Annual of the British School at Athens, 55, 67–107, p. 81, "About 500 metres to north of the village of Arkasadhes is the ruined chapel of Ayios Nikolaos, marked 6 on FIG. 1.63. All round the chapel are ancient sherds, including a few of classical black glazed ware, and fragments broken column drums and limestone statues (Hellenistic or Roman).' ibid, P. 81, Footnote 63, "Dr. Kommenos (author of LAKONIA 1896), thought that the church of Arkasadhes was built over a tholos tomb, and there are rumours of other tombs in this neighbourhood'.
