Negative Album Innsbruck and Cruise 1, 1902
Scope and Contents
25 quarter plate negatives, featuring Wace's journey across Europe, from Innsbruck to Athens via Venice, travel in the Peloponnese - in particular the Argolid, Lakonia and Messenia, also a visit to Alexandria and Cairo in Egypt. Indexed at the front. Many of the negatives in very poor condition or completely degraded with no image remaining on the substrate.

Physical Description
Negative album, navy blue waxed cloth cover with press stud fastening to secure front flap, bound on short left edge. Cover embossed in gold print, 'Kodak Negative Album'. H. 8.7 x W. 15 cm. 100 glassine sleeves with numbers 1 to 100 printed sequentially in black ink.
3 leaves of printed index at the front, titles of negatives written in by hand in pencil by AJBW.
Sleeves 57 to 66, 75, 77, 78, 79, 81, 84 to 86, 91, 93, 94, 98, 100 were empty upon accession of album in the archives.
Processing Information
25 negatives were digitally photographed in May 2022 by Amélie M. F. Deblauwe of the Digital Photography Unit, University of Cambridge for upload to the Cambridge Digital Library. The remainder of negatives in this album were too chemically degraded to retain any image whatsoever.
