Scope and Contents
Sub-titled on the first folio, 'Highways and Byeways in Laconia, Arcadia, Elis & Messenia Vol. II 1907-1909'.
Notes, sketch plans, sketches of lead objects and copies of inscriptions encountered at sites in Lakonia, Arkadia, Ilia and Messenia, visited between 1907 and 1909. Sites visited were: Slavochori, Kydonia, Trypi, Kalogria, Aphisio, Geraki, Sparta, Messene, Nisi, Coron, Lepreon, Phigaleia, Bassae, Samiko, Olympia, Kyparissia.
At the back are jotted notes of personal accounts and timetables.

1 insert, glued to the bidning that attaches the back board to the text block, tucked into the paper pocket on the back cover. Torn from a Greek newspaper of Methoni, dated Apr. 4/17 1909 by AJBW, giving notice of the deadline to pay tax on Easter lambs.

Physical Description
Brown cloth cover, with edges bound in faded red tape, loop for a pencil, and perished brown elastic for closing the notebook, attached to front cover, text block of squared paper, handwritten in pencil and ink, 18 x 11cm.
Foliated by AJBW, ff. 94, only used up to f. 34 and 4 leaves at the back.
Top and tail of spine bumped, staples rusting, the first section of text block (up to f. 17) has detatched completely from the spine. Water damage has occured and a damp stain runs along the centre fold. Fragile.
