Notes, sketch plans and copies of inscriptions encountered at sites in Lakonia, visited between 1905 and 1906, travelling first with Frederick Hasluck and then Richard Dawkins. Sites visited were: Sparta, Xerokambi, Sklavochori, Mistra Museum, Parori, Geraki, Molai, Kalyvia, Dhemonia, Velies, Epidauros Linera, Monemvasia,Mari, Angelona, Dhaskalio, Zarax, Richea, Leonidi, Kyparissi, Charax, Vezani-Kalyvia, Acriae, Plitra, Vlachioti, Priniko, Gouves, Niata.

Physical Description

Brown cloth cover, with edges bound in faded red tape, frayed remnant of a loop for a pencil attached to front cover, perished brown elastic for closing the notebook attached to back cover, text block of squared paper, handwritten in pencil and ink, 18 x 11cm.

Cover has a water stain, edges and corners bumped, spine exposed (texile binding entirely missing) and staples rusting. Entire volume has been water damaged at some point, with a damp stain spreading out from the centre fold at every opening, pages cockled. Fragile.
