Untitled (notes on historic textiles observed in North American museum collections), 1939
Scope and Contents
At the front, jotted notes by AJBW, mostly connected to the subject of textiles of several types, including notes on Italian tapestries, Graeco-Roman and Coptic pieces, Aremenian samplers, in the Boston, Ann Arbor, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Metrapolitan Museum, Yale and Washington DC (Bliss colelction) museums. Indexed at the front.
Also some jotted notes on the Pelham letters, with regard to Bayard portraits.
At the end of these textile notes, notes on Helladic pots encountered in the Metropolitan Museum, New York.
3 inserts at the front: blank Museum of Fine Arts Boston postcard of a Coptic textile, a note of a Boston address and a note to return a phone call from the Shelton New York front desk (dated January 26 1939).
