Inscribed on the v. of front board, 'A. J. B. Wace N. B. 1'. Notes on Hellenistic Greek sculpture held in European museums, including referenced summaries from bibliography Wace had read on each. Notes on one sculpture per folio, written on the r. only (except for 'Alexandrine art', f. 60, on which he made copious notes on r. and v). Indexed alphabetically at the back, ff. 84-86.
The notebook is undated, presumed to be a record of Wace's intensive studies of Greek sculpture and art during his time as a student at the British School at Athens, 1902-1903.

Fragile, front board and front flyleaf detached completly from text block, leaves foxed.
