Scope and Contents

Lyndwood [variously Lyndewode, Lyndwode] joined Gonville Hall [now Gonville and Caius College] as an undergraduate and was later reportedly a Fellow of Pembroke Hall, though no evidence has been found for this appointment. A noted diplomat, keeper of the privy seal and bishop of St David's, but it is his worked 'Provinciale', for which he is best remembered. It is a collection of ecclesiastical legislation.
