Scope and Contents
Manuscript diary written on Browne's journey from Kirman [?Kerman, Iran] to Newcastle 7 July 1888 to 10 October 1888, being a continuation of GBR/1058/BRO/1/3/1. The volume also contains a note from Sheykh Suleyman (Kirman) (12 July 1888) and the original of the letter that ended GBR/1058/BRO/1/3/1. The notebook ends with an "Index of the Four volumes of my [i.e. Browne's] diary in Turkey & Persia from October 4th 1887 to October 10th 1888"; transcription of various letters and extracts of texts about Persia; list of Persian friends and acquaintances; notes on the journey from Kirman to Tehran; and printed pages featuring an image of H. H. Nasrin 'd-Dawla Farman Farma Sultan Ham'd Mirza (Governor of Kirman) and another unidentified man.
