Modern Poetry in Translation, Number 1. This edition featured translations of work of many poets including Czesław Miłosz. The unsigned editorials were mainly written by Ted Hughes (c.f. 'Ted Hughes: A Bibliography, 1946-1995' (2nd edition) by Keith Sagar and Stephen Tabor (p. 297)). 2 copies.

Biographical / Historical
Richard Hollis lived in the flat on the floor above Ted Hughes and Sylvia Plath when they lived at 18 Rugby Street, London. Hollis designed the layout for Modern Poetry in Translation. Hollis was then a freelance graphic designer, but during the 1960s and 1970s taught at the London School of Printing and Graphic Arts, at Chelsea School of Art and the Central School. He later headed the Department of Graphic Design at West of England College of Art.
