Account of Sir William Dawes, 1698 - 1699
Scope and Contents
In which it shows he paid a Blacksmith £10 for iron work about the Lodge. Also includes has a memo "That in July last the College gave a bond to Mr Holwey for one hundred pounds part of which money was a debt from Eachard, Dr John and part received by me in money" (The debt from Dr Eachard was £18 and the amount received by Dawes in money £82). Also shows shows payment of 12 s for printing 100 of College cases (reference XI), c.1697, a printed appeal for funds for the Chapel, The State of St Katharine's Hall in Cambridge, which W. H. S. Jones identifies.
2 January "That in July last the College gave a bond to Mr Holwey for one hundred pounds, part of which money was a debt from Dr Eachard £18 and part received by me in the money £82. The account shows disbursement of the money and a further £100 received 1699. Mr Holwey received a year's annuity to Lady Day 98 £10 from the first £100 and a half year's annuity to Mich 98 from the second £100 (£10 and £5).
