Biographical / Historical

Also includes photographs of the Old Combination Room (OCR), which was previously the Hall Gallery from 1932 to 1967, and the Armitage Room which was created when the upper part of the SCR was made into a separate room. The OCR was renovated as part of the Quincentenary commemoration by the Governing Body. It was gutted and reconstructed with new panelling of solid seasoned oak, left in its natural state, with some door heads and panels preserved from the c. 1631 old E Staircase that had been demolished.
