Biographical / Historical
Mr Burrell willed that his property should be given to the Patronage Fund, and on his death in 1843 the College received the net sum of £7662. 15s. 0d. This was allowed to accumulate until the Patronage Fund was able to purchase the advowsons of Marnhull (1873), Newent (1874) and Little Shelford (1879). The Fund also helped augment the stipends of various College livings. In 1954 the remaining assets of the Fund were merged with the Fellowships Estate Fund.
