Scope and Contents
This collection comprises two small collections resulting from separate research projects undertaken into the life of Rudi Dutschke.
1. Professor Ian McConnell's collection of newscuttings, correspondence and other papers compiled during Rudi Dutschke's tribunal and appeal c. 1970-1 (but with some items dating back to 1968).
2. Copies of newscuttings, articles and photos compiled by two researchers at Clare Hall and elsewhere during their research into the life of Rudi Dutschke (c. 2019).

Biographical / Historical
Rudi Dutschke was a West German student activist who was shot in 1968 during an assassination attempt. He came to Clare Hall in 1970 for two years but his request to stay in Britain was refused by the Home Office.
