Malcolm Muggeridge visits and comments on places which were significant to him in his childhood and moves on to time at Selwyn College Cambridge. These include Croydon Town Hall, Board School, Selhurst Grammar School; Whiteway Colony, Gloucestershire; Selwyn College Cambridge; Union Christian College, Madras. Footage of Selwyn College in the Autumn term 1965 includes Porters, students, B staircase, matriculation photograph being taken, rowing, boathouse, hockey on sports field, introduction to Tutor (Professor William Brock), College at night, College Chapel, looking at the Selwyn Admissions Register in the Library, dinner at High Table.
