Biographical / Historical
The Library was built in 1930 as a Memorial to those who had died in the First World War; it was extended in 1987, redecorated in 2007 and subsequently refurbished in 2021-2022 to house the Archives, Rare Books, Development team and meeting rooms and referred to from 2022 as the Old Library building
