Rev. Canon William Telfer 1886-1968, Master of Selwyn 1947-1956. Educated at King's School, Canterbury and then at Clare College c. 1905-1908 and later at Jesus College. He became the Assistant Missioner at Clare College Mission, Fellow of Selwyn 1921, Canon of Ely in 1944.
