Scope and Contents
Miscellany of papers contained in early Transactions and Proceedings. Most are uncut, some are unbound, some are reprints. The file contains:
Papers from Transactions by William Whewell, William Mandell, John Okes, J S Henslow (on the geology of Anglesey) and Mr Hailstone, together with various plates, circa 1825 to circa 1830;
Proceedings Vol. 1 Part 5: originally produced 1866, this is a reprint of 1956, and a note on the cover reads ‘Out of print’. Contains articles and papers dated 1847-48 by Stokes, Airy, Ellis and De Morgan;
‘The Foundation and Early Years of the Society: An Address delivered by John Willis Clark… on resigning [the Presidency] 27 October 1890’, from Proceedings Vol. 8, printed 1891 (2 copies);
A H Evans, ‘A Short Flora of Cambridgeshire, chiefly from an ecological standpoint, with a history of its chief botanists’ (uncut copy of Proceedings Vol. 16 Pt 3), 1911 (Easter Term), with a note inside reading ‘Imperfect Copy’; reprint.
