The minutes in these files more or less duplicate the contents of the volumes of signed minutes at CPS 2/1 above. However, some of the papers and correspondence are unique to these files. The files are inscribed 'Librarian's file': they were, however, found with a note reading '1969 - filed in Executive Secretary's Office (Prior to 1969 the Librarian also acted as Executive Secretary - these are the original Society archives and not Library copies)'. All files contain papers of the Finance Committee, the Periodicals Committee and the Editorial Committee. Files 3-7 include papers of the Library Committee (from 1967 known as the Scientific Periodicals Library Committee). Files 1-3 include papers (beginning in 1958) relating to proposals for the establishment of a University of Cambridge central science library, to be managed half by the University and half by CPS. Other papers which may be unique to these files (ie not included in CPS 2/1) are listed in the entries for the individual files below.
