'City of Cambridge: A Survey and Inventory by the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments'. Two volumes plus boxed set of maps and plans ('Map showing position of Monuments', and Plans of King's, St John's and Trinity Colleges'). Published by HMSO 1959. The flyleaf of Vol. 1 is inscribed 'We give this book to J A Ratcliffe to mark our appreciation of his outstanding services to the Cambridge Philosophical Society during his term as President [1968-70], Cambridge 26 October 1970', and signed by 18 members of the Society, including Robert C Evans, Geoffrey Taylor, Richard Adrian, Peter Swinnerton-Dyer and George Salt.
