Scope and Contents
A solid silver clip-on badge made from a reproduction Tang dynasty 和同開珎 coin in a plastic box with a description in Japanese. The coin was made for the 1973 exhibition of artefacts unearthed in the People's Republic of China 中华人民共和国出土文物展. The coin was unearthed at the site of the Tang dynasty capital of Chang'an. The badge was made by 宮本商行 based in Tokyo. The original coins were brought to Chang'an by Japanese envoys to the Tang dynasty court.
