Scope and Contents
Comprises chiefly correspondence with academic colleagues in India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka (some being alumnae) concerning the possibility of mutually useful links, some in connection with the Cambridge University Committee for Interdisciplinary Environmental Studies [of which Anne Lonsdale was Chair]. Also colour photograph, 1996, of Anne Lonsdale with L M Singhvi (Indian High Commissioner) at the Middle Temple for a commemoration of Sir William Jones, and a photocopy of a photograph of Anne Lonsdale and L M Singhvi planting a tree at New Hall in 1996. Alumnae contacts include Dr R S Wilson Wijeratnam and Bina Agarwal. Papers relating to Bina Agarwal include cuttings and notes on her work on the economic status of women in South Asia.
