Scope and Contents
Dame Katherine Maynard, wife of Francis Buller of Shillingham, Cornewall, acknowledges that she is well pleased that the annual rent due to Sir James Rushout, Bart., Sir Abraham Cullen, Bart., and Sir William Adams, Bart., under an agreement whereby they had leased the manor of Isleham cum Barnards Newhall and Uphall, Cambs. to Francis Buller and herself had not been paid. By the indenture of conveyance the rent was to be received on trust to be paid to such persons and for such persons as Dame Katherine Maynard should appoint. She now appoints that the rent is to remain in her husband's hands.
