Lease of parsonage, Wilburton, Cambridgeshire
Scope and Contents
Thomas Wren, LL.D., Archdeacon of Ely, Parson of Wilburton, lets to [Sir] William Wren the parsonage of Wilburton. A proviso is added that the lessee is to pay a certain sum yearly to the curate of Wilburton for the service of the church and administration of the sacraments. Witnesses to the giving of possession: Robert Wright, John Gardner, and John Jellis. On the back is a declaration by Vertue Radford, assignee of Sir W. Wren, giving up his interest in the above lease to William Saywell, Archdeacon of Ely, 12 August 1690.
