Scope and Contents
Will of James Fletcher, of Heyford Warren. He appoints his son-in-law, Edmund Carter, sole executor, and bequeathes to him his estate near Banbury for his life and that of his wife Mary and then to Edmund their son and his heirs. To his son William £5 to whom Edmund Carter is to surrender the copyhold estate of Heyford Warren (which he holds in reversion as a friend) whenever William wants it. To his wife Mary various household stuff. 5/- to the poor of Heyford Warren. He appoints Gabrill Merry (who signs himself Myrry), gent., and John Jones, gent., both of Heyford Warren, to be overseers of his will and they witness it.
