Scope and Contents
The will of James Kempe, carpenter, of Yaxley. All his messuage in Yaxley called Randolphe's to his wife Joane for life, then to his youngest son Hugh on condition of his paying a legacy of £6 to Mary, James' youngest daughter, and 40/- to his daughter Anne Kempe, and 40/- to his son James Kempe, at stated times. Anne is also to have a posted bed with tester after her mother's death. All the rest of his goods to Joane to pay his debts etc. as his executrix. Signed by James Kempt, his mark. Witnessed by Ambrose Westhropp, Roger Dade, and John Burges.
