Scope and Contents
At a Court Baron of Mitchell Hall Manor, Swaffham Bulback, of Grace Parker, spinster, and Elizabeth Hamond, widow, Ladies of the Manor, before Thomas Bridge, gent., steward. The homage presents that Thomas Rook, tailor, of Cambridge, a customary tenant, did on 26 March 1779 surrender by the hands of Peacock Richard and Thomas Appleyard a messuage in Gutter Lane, Swaffham Bk. ...To the use of Matthew Clark, wheelwright, of same town...And Matthew Clark came into Court...and was admitted tenant. Examined by Thomas Bridge, steward.
