Papers of Francis Meynell
This collection includes Meynell's archive of papers in his various occupations, including his years at the Pelican Press (1916-23) and Nonesuch Press (1923-36 and 1952-68, although the papers of what he called 'pre-war Nonesuch' are mostly lost). Further papers related to typographical and other design come from Meynell's work for the Limited Editions Club, the advertising firm Mather and Crowther, the Board of Trade, H. M. Stationery Office, the Post Office, and others. Besides these, the collection contains papers relating to Meynell's mother the poet Alice Meynell and to the poet Francis Thompson; to Meynell's time as a conscientious objector in the First World War, journalist on the Daily Herald, and Communist; to many speeches and broadcasts by him; and to personal affairs.

Most of the correspondence is with Alix Meynell. Mulvey's letters include research notes made by her, and enclose some earlier letters. These include letters to Meynell from Annabel Farjeon (undated), Ross Nichols (1951), Logan Pearsall Smith (1932) and Hugh Trevor-Roper (1965) .
