The volume, an alphabetical catalogue of coats of arms of London livery and trading companies, and Oxford and Cambridge colleges, many illustrated with engravings of their arms from at least three publications, was compiled by William Fox in 1775, with later annotations in at least two other hands. One of these is probably Sir George Nayler (1764-1831). The volume was bound after 1822 for 'Sir George Nayler. Garter', as his bookplate inside the front cover shows.
